Kidde Carbon Monoxide Detector, AC-Plug-In with Lithium Battery Backup, Digital Display, Night Light & Escape Light, model KN-COP-DP-10YH, is an easy-to-install CO alarm that provides reliable detection against the dangers of carbon monoxide gas using electrochemical sensing technology. Simply plug the carbon monoxide detector into a wall outlet in any room to activate it – the AC plug even rotates so that the CO detector remains vertical whether the electrical outlet is in a vertical or horizontal position. The long-life sealed lithium battery provides backup power, so you and your family will have reliable detection even during power failures. When high CO levels are detected, the alarm will sound four short beeps followed by five seconds, then repeat. The red LED will flash with the alarm pattern, the escape light will illuminate, and the carbon monoxide reading in parts-per-million (PPM) will be displayed on the digital display. The CO alarm will continue to sound as long as dangerous levels of carbon monoxide are detected, or until the test/reset button is pressed. Peak Level Memory records the highest level of CO detected by the carbon monoxide detector since the last reset. The nightlight features adjustable brightness levels that activate automatically during low light conditions; a higher intensity escape light can help people exit rooms during smoke or fire incidents.
